Job Title: Junior Account Executive

Salary: Up to £28,000 dependent on experience

Location: Central London

Hours: Full Time

They are now looking to expand by adding a new member to the team of one of their 4 different business divisions.

Your New Job as a Junior Account Executive:

The role is focused on managing a portfolio of high-profile clients most of which have Private Equity investment or ownership.

The Account Executive is the primary contact for the client and will work directly with the various divisions to manage all aspects of their insurance programme. The role requires a strong attention to detail in their work, communication and planning and as the team works on M&A transactions, the role will require the ability to provide work to deadlines and respond to all workstreams in a timely, positive and professional manner.

Your Key Responsibilites & Accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

Administration

  • Run monthly renewal list and monthly aged debt report and work with appropriate team member on each
  • Assist in the creation of broking, client and other types of documents Data entry and data computation on Company systems and Excel Spreadsheets
  • Ensure up to date records are maintained at all times on the Company systems for the department
  • Manage and utilize Document management systems on behalf of the whole department including but not limited to printing, copying, scanning, assembling, uploading and mailing.
  • Manage and utilize Archiving, Filing and other systems on behalf of the whole department.
  • Assist with Placing Platform Limited (PPL) where necessary to bind a risk or add an endorsement; chase underwriter for their approval, download final slip or endorsement to file in appropriate DMS folder

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Company and/or Group policies and procedures
  • Ensure correct authorization is obtained and processes followed when required by the Company and/or Group policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure that own performance, HR and T&C records are up to date and meet the Group’s requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and deal with correspondence appropriately

Clients

  • Support clients with their diverse range of queries
  • Manage combined insurance queries such as renewals, broking, invoicing and risk assessment
  • Manage diverse multi-class lines such as commercial combined, Travel/Personal Accident, Marine in addition to our main focus on the Financial Lines products of Directors and Officer, Crime, Cyber and Professional Indemnity.
  • Respond to the department’s requirements as appropriate
  • Behave with all clients (both internal and external) fairly and ethically

Other

  • Work closely with “key” insurer partners
  • Manage assigned projects and contribute to other projects as required
  • Respond appropriately to urgent issues as they arise
  • Keep informed of legal and regulatory developments relevant to the department as appropriate to role
  • Share information that could be beneficial to the Company
  • Provide relevant management information to senior management where requested
  • Contribute and take part in adhoc projects as required
  • Any other reasonable duties, as required

What You’ll Need to Succeed as a Junior Account Executive:

  • Strong academics, with a degree.
  • A-C grade in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Team player and hard worker who is ready to assist the team with the basic yet important aspects of pre and post binding duties.
  • Charter Insurance Institute (CII) certificate aware desirable or working towards this.
