Are you a core-subject graduate looking to use your knowledge in a social, rewarding environment?

Schools across Southwark are looking for academic mentors to support their students revising for their GCSE’s in a subject you are passionate about!

Here at EduStaff we support graduates in finding long-term, full-time roles in education before they pursue further education or teacher training!

***Academic Mentor required for high-achieving Secondary schools across Southwark
***Academic Mentor required for January – beginning of the new year for academic year!
***Friendly and bright core-subject graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree
***Academic Mentor required to support Key Stage 3 and 4 lessons!
***Long-term, full-time role – no day-to-day or supply!
***Experience working with students advantageous!
***£65-£70 paid per day!

The sought Academic Mentor will be a bright graduate with a specialist degree in academic subjects from Sciences, Maths, English and Humanities! It will be highly advantageous for the Academic Mentor to have experience in supporting pupils academically or in more informal settings (summer camps) as it demonstrates your pre-existing commitments to starting a career in education!

The Academic Mentor role will involve you providing support to students in their GCSE revision and will assist in lower years in your chosen subject. When instructed by the teacher, you will take pupils out for 1:1 and group sessions to turn complex course material into tangible ideas.

There are a number of schools across Southwark looking for high quality academic mentors to join their support staff and help ensure all students are reaching their academic ability! Schools will be particularly interested in meeting a graduate who is looking to pursue teacher training with them!
