Description

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and multi-skilled individual to work with a Finance team to join an expanding team based in Southwark.

As a Finance Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating your ability to maintain world class customer service. 

You will display exceptionally high standards and possess the ability to prioritise responsibilities and manage your time effectively, ensuring efficiency. Your ability to communicate, both in writing and verbally, will shine through with every  interaction.

Through your attention to detail, discrepancies will be resolved appropriately and incoming payments will be processed efficiently. You understand the impact exceptional service has on your own success as well as the strengthening of client relationships. You set the bar high and work daily to push the limits when it comes to service standards.

Working closely with the Managing Director, you will be responsible for day-to-day financial administration. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing financial and accounting related activities in a timely manner 
  • Preparing finance journal entries and account reconciliation reports 
  • Evaluating financial documents for correctness and completeness 
  • Ensuring financial and accounting reports are prepared in accordance with company/HMRC rules and regulations 
  • Generating financial transaction records for collections, invoices, payments, expenses, revenues, etc. for future reference purposes 
  • Addressing financial issues and inquiries in a timely manner 
  • Maintaining accurate documentation for financial operations and transactions 
  • Performing month end closing activities such as expense accounting, account reconciliation, etc.
  • Managing account payables and receivables activities 
  • Assisting with management of credit and collection activities 

 
Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors and/or Masters degree
  • Work experience including finance or accounting responsibilities 
  • High standard of professional communication skills 
  • Analytical and accurate 
  • Highly organised 
  • Positive, can-do attitude
