Exciting opportunity with Yorkshire Water

Central Product Co-ordinator – Waste

This a temporary/secondment opportunity for 9 months

Based in Bradford

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Central Product Co-ordinator (Waste) to join the Service Delivery Centre & Water Production team.

As Central Product Co-ordinator you will be responsible for supporting the Operational Support teams with pollution management.

Salary & Benefits –  £17,194 – £21,493 per annum dependent on experience + 25 days annual leave + attractive pension + quarterly performance related bonus

What will the role involve?
You will support the Operational Support teams in the Control Room who provide assistance with operations on pollution management . This involves alarm management, answering phone calls from internal colleagues and external partner organisations, raising work orders and managing operation incidents, this could range from pollution, compliance and bathing water incidents. 

Some other key accountabilities for this role are:-
*To work with the the operational support teams to deliver alarm management, raising work orders for the field and dealing with incoming phone calls to deliver an efficient and seamless service 
*Drive pollution incident timescales – reporting of the pollution incident to the Environment Agency, drive the field to ensure pollution events are resolved quickly and documented in Pollution Service Events. 
*Ensure that Alarm Governance principles are followed and that our processes are reviewed regularly and are fit for purpose at all times
*Support the incident management process and provide cover to the Technical Secretary role
*Ensure that the inhibit and noted alarm process is managed with the field to ensure minimum unnecessary alarms
*Produce data and reports for the control room and the hub, identifying any trends and working with the optimisers to resolve any issues

What skills are we looking for?  
The successful candidate will be a confident communicator and be comfortable in developing and maintaining effective internal and external relationships with a range of people within and outside the organisation. You will be highly organised and demonstrate attention to detail ensuring a “right first time” service to our customers.

*As part of the role you will be using a number of different IT systems therefore you will have good IT skills.
*You will have a basic understanding of water and waste water treatment and transmission and it would be advantageous if you have previous experience in the broader utility sector or a commercially orientated/regulated environment
*You will need a full valid EU driving licence, as on occasions you will need to travel to operational sites .
