Job Description:

Our client based in multiple locations in both Windsor and Maidenhead are currently looking to recruit for a long term temporary member of staff to join their Business Support team as a Team Leader Specialist Support. This is a long term temporary position. To work as a member of the Business Support Team you will line manage a team of case co-ordinators within Children’s Services. You will ensure the team runs smoothly and efficiently, meeting the needs of the relevant service area and responding flexibly/supporting the priorities identified for the service area by the Directorate Business Development Manager.

This is a temporary vacancy and requires someone who is immediately available. A valid DBS certificate is required for this position.

Responsibilities

* Effective staff management skills
* Must have an awareness and understanding of the children’s social care sector and social work practice and the legislation such as the Children’s Act which underpins it
* Sound knowledge of information management and IT systems
* Ability to identify and set own priorities
* Good interpersonal skills
* Ability to negotiate effectively with staff and with internal and external contacts
* Good organisational skills
* Ability to motivate staff
* Excellent written and verbal skills
* Able to prioritise own work load and respond flexibly under pressure
* Ability to manage a number of tasks effectively and promptly
* Able to exercise discretion and sound judgement
* Ability to assimilate and retain a significant and constantly changing volume of information
* Able to ensure confidentiality of information

Requirements

* 5 GCSE’s and NVQ Level III in Administration or equivalent qualification
* Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Database system and Outlook
